LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO SERVE?

HCI HOSPITALITY TEAM
We are looking for volunteers for anyone who is interested in being a Greeter.  We need Greeters for all services as we try to expand the program.  If you are interested, please contact Teresa Horstmann at horstmann@charter.net  or Ken Fairfax at kf4175@att.com.

SENIOR HIGH/COLLEGE AGE YOUTH REFERRAL NETWORK
It’s simple: you have a need?....babysitting, yard work, odd jobs, etc. We have eager and trustworthy Sr. High and College age youth ready and willing to work! All proceeds will help support our youth in missions, ministry, outreach and faith development. Thank you!

Come and be a part of Children's Choir Kidz Jam every Sunday morning at 10:30 am in the Henrietta Brown Building. Kid's from ages 5-12 are welcome.

PARENTS OF CHILDREN IN SUNDAY SCHOOL
Parents of children in Sunday School in the HB Kidzone will need meet their child at the classroom after Sunday School each week. Children will not be dismissed from the classroom until a parent is there to meet them.

OPERATION PLENIFUL PANTRY:
THANK YOU EUMC for responding to the fifth month of “Operation Plentiful Pantry”.July's Goal is 150 Jars of Spaghetti Sauce! You may place your “gift” in the collection barrel outside the sanctuary.

beliefsPrayer Shawl Ministry:
The group meets at wool gatherings in Eureka every Thursday morning from 10-12 anyone is welcome to join the group the ministry knits and crochets shawls and throws to give to people in tunes of need. During the first year of the ministry they have given away over 25 shawls. If you do not knit or crochet someone can help you or lessons are available from Jari at Wool Gatherings. Any yarn purchased from the store for use in a prayer shawl is sold at a discount. Any questions call Elaine Conradi 314-494-5439.

This summer, set sail for VBS fun! Feel sea spray on your face as sails snap overhead—and you and your crew experience the deep rolling waters of God’s love!

Sponsor a child for $25: by visiting the special VBS website. Click on FUNDRAISING or make a check out to EUMC with “VBS” in the memo.

Items needed for VBS decorations:Blue vinyl, rolls of green paper, blue cellophane (to coverlights), fish netting, sea shells, white fabric and Green Rit Dye, Construction paper assorted colors, sand, glitter, assorted tissue paper, fishing line, egg cartons, white Christmas lights, tempra paint, brushes, glue, crayons, markers, tape. Questions contact Erica Siebels at esiebs@hmail.com.

Items needed for VBS crafts:
Water bottles
Beans (any kinds, shapes, colors)
Foam Sheets (any color)

Vacation Bible School Menu:
Sunday: pancake and sausage supper
Monday: pizza, salad, brownie
Tuesday: all beef hotdog, veggies and dip, chips, fruit cup
Wednesday: grilled cheese, chips, veggies and dip, dessert
Thursday: Hamburgers with, chips, veggies and dip, dessert

Donations of produce from members gardens would be appreciated and may be left in the kitchen? The last couple of years the kids loved the veggies!

We have made plans for the rest of 2010 and we hope the 55+’ers will join us for these fun and interesting ac-tivities:

August 10, Noon: Soup & Salad Lunch in Fellowship Hall, noon, chairman all, Bring a baby picture of yourself. Fun! Fun! Fun!

September 14: Stages Theater in Kirkwood, MO
Join us for a special night of entertainment at STAGES ST. LOUIS! We have 20 tickets being held for the Tuesday, September 14, 8 p.m. performance of State Fair. We need a minimum of 10 tickets sold to receive the discount. A regular $51 ticket will be $39 (including tax). Please RSVP to Betty Branscum (636/451-302) or Barb Grayson by May 28. Money will be collected by August 2nd.

October 9: Fall Festival at Frohna, MO(Close to Perryville), chairman Rich & Diane Bitsch, Leave church promptly at 8:00 a.m. Back home at 5 p.m. Totla cost per person: $4.00, plus lunch

Join with “The Seekers”,at 9:15 for five introspective sessions, and experience the “seeds” that Adam Hamilton plants for us to cultivate … discuss … and provide a fertile learning environment. Session 1 commenced on June 20th … and sessions continue for four more weeks through July 18th. Come join us … all are welcome !!!
