Life Groups

Life Groups have one, simple purpose: to bring people together. We believe God created us to live in relationship with other and only then can we live the full life he intends for us. Sharing life through community is part of our design, but meaningful relationships aren't always easy to find. That's why Life Groups exist--to make these life changing relationships relevant and accessible to you.

There are numerous, ongoing Life Groups that meet regularly at the church, in people's homes, and at various other locations around the community. Life Groups are available just about any day of the week. There is a Life Group for you!

If your life group is not listed below, please email lifegroups@eurekaumc.org to have it added to the list!

WOW MINISTRIES SHOE DRIVE UPDATE:

So many times we volunteer or we have a drive and we don’t know what happened or what the total results were. The results from the Fall Shoe Drive are in!

We helped OAT’s Inc. collect 4,707 pairs of new or gently used shoes. The money raised went towards purchasing a new bus to provide reliable transportation for Missourians in 87 counties. All the shoes collected went to micro entrepreneurs in developing countries to be prepared for reselling in order to support the families and help those in need of shoes.   Here is a link to the OATS web site if you’d like to learn more about this important organization.  http://www.oatstransit.org/

WOW - ANNUAL BACKPACK DRIVE!

Did you know that children are often anxious, bullied or made fun of when they don’t have a backpack or school supplies?  You can help prevent that from happening by participating in the annual backpack drive organized by EUMC WOW (women of worship) to benefit children who utilize the Eureka Food Pantry and children serviced by the St. Louis Crisis Nursery.

GREAT NEWS:  backpacks provided!  So just fill them up with school supplies!

The “Fill a backpack” school supply drive runs from July 1 – 29.

We will have a box filled with new, empty backpacks in the Commons Area beginning Sunday, July 1.  Participants will simply need to grab an empty backpack  (or 2), along with a supply lists.  Fill the backpack with supplies from the list.   Then put the filled backpack into the box at church with the list attached or included inside the backpack.  If some of the supplies won’t fit inside the backpack, simply place them in a plastic grocery bag and securely tie the handles of the bag around one of the straps of the backpack.  All the backpacks need to be returned Sunday, July 29 and placed in the box or boxes in the Commons Area.

The supply list will be in 2 envelopes attached to the box.  1 envelope will have supply lists for local children who utilize the Eureka Food Pantry and 1 envelope will have supply lists for children supported by the St. Louis Crisis Nursery.  It is REALLY important that the list be connected to or inside the backpack so that it gets delivered to the correct child.

Please contact me directly (Karen Hughes at kdhughes1@charter.net) if you want to participate but need a supply list emailed to you --- or if you have questions.

Thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ!!
