Coat and Purse Drive!.png

Jan. 13 - Feb. 3, we are hosting two drives for donations of gently used items —- coats and purses!

With winter upon us, look through closets and drawers for coats that are collecting dust or have been outgrown so we can get them to families who need them to stay warm!  Hats, scarves and gloves will be accepted as well.

Gently used purses will go a long way towards giving dignity and support to some women who don’t own any. We don’t want moms having to use coat pockets or plastic grocery bags to carry personal items. We can do better than that!

Please place your donated items in the labeled boxes in the Commons Area at EUMC. Please ensure donations are in good working condition.  (No tears or broken zippers.)  All items will go to families in need via the St. Louis Crisis Nursery.

Grades 6-12

We are excited to partner again with Student Life Camp as we travel to Windermere Conference Center.   Windermere offers a picturesque retreat along the banks of the Lake of the Ozarks. Free time options such as the water park and lake activities ensure that your kids will enjoy the outdoors all week long. Windermere's outstanding facilities include various indoor and outdoor settings perfect for group Bible study or personal time with God.  Kids will be participating in a mission project each day within the community.  For more information, contact Jenny at jenny.babb@eurekaumc.org.  There will be an information meeting on Sunday, Feb 10th at 11 am in the Confirmation Classroom.

We have identified a family in Eureka that will benefit greatly from some renovations to their home. Their home, although not in the floodplain, was damaged by the intense rain event last year that caused the record flooding. Rain water flooded their home and destroyed the flooring and part of the drywall. Team Rubicon 'gutted' the house in May 2017 and nothing has been done to restore the home. We are in the process of organizing a team in partnership with St. Mark's Lutheran Church to complete this project. Dates are TBD but will likely be in early to mid August. Our volunteer team coordinator for this project is Tom Brozka. If you'd like to be part of the team, whether for a few hours or a few days, please contact Tom at tbroandco@sbcglobal.net

The scope of this project will include moving large items (the family will be moved out of their home for about a week), demolition work, cleaning, drywall repairs, painting, new flooring, and repairs in the kitchen and bathroom.
