EUMC News! (Feb 22nd, 2018)

last wk of jesus lift.jpg

If you knew that you had just one week left to live, how would that shape your actions? How would you spend your time? With whom would you spend your time?

We will be exploring The Last Week of Jesus' life during Lent. We will look closely at his actions, where he went, and with whom he spent time with. We will consider what all of this meant 2,000 years ago and what it means to us today.

The Gospel of Mark will be our guide during this wonderful, day by day journey with Jesus, during this season of Lent. We will continue our Lenten journey this Sunday by exploring the events surrounding the last Monday of Jesus' life with a message titled "Trouble in the Temple" from Mark 11:12-19.

We offer three worship experiences on Sundays!

Our 9:45 am worship service includes modern Christian music led by our amazing praise team.

9:45 am Worship songs:

Let the Praises Ring
Today is the Day
10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)
God of Wonders
Marvelous Light

If you are travelling or staying at home with flu, you can join us online at 9:45 am. This service will be streaming live via our Eureka United Methodist Church Facebook page and Facebook Live.

Our 8:30 am worship service includes traditional Christian hymns led by our wonderful choir.

8:30 am hymns:

154 All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name
170 O How I Love Jesus
577 God of Grace and God of Glory

Childcare (birth through 2 years old) is available during both worship services.

Our JAM (Jesus and Me) Children's Ministry, ages 3 years old through the 5th grade, meet each Sunday at 9:45 am

Our XP3 Youth (grades 6-12) meet on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.

Flood Recovery Update: next mission Sat 10 March.  Contact me if you want to help repair our flooded neighbors houses. Last month we helped George, a retiree, who has been flooded out twice in the last two years. Five of us turned out to put up wainscoating, patch and finish dry wall and run some new electric wires. George fortunately had flood insurance but he needed help renovating the house he and his wife lived in for a couple of decades. Larry (314) 753-9729
