Healthy Church Initiative updates!
Here are some updates for our Healthy Church Initiative! We have several amazing teams that have been working towards the goals set during our recent HCI in late 2017!
Our Hospitality Team and our first time guest followup practices are having a huge impact for God's Kingdom! We have welcomed 27 new families (many of them with children and youth) as regular guests at Eureka UMC since Christmas Eve.
Our Congregational Care Development Team met for the first time three weeks ago. Several members of this team will be attending the National Congregational Care Ministries Conference in Kansas City in April. This team will be developing a system of congregational care for Eureka UMC over the next several months.
Our Vision Team met for the first time last week under the leadership of Rev Roger Ross, the Director of Congregational Excellence for the Missouri Conference. This Vision Team Retreat has set some great things in motion as we discern what God's Vision is for Eureka UMC in 2018 and beyond.
Our Discipleship Path Team and Leadership Development Team will both begin meeting in late July as part of the third phase of our HCI prescriptions.
A young man who once had to walk 10 miles to and from work now has a scooter. Hundreds of families who lost everything have had their homes rebuilt and six families received 'new' homes on higher ground because of your generosity. Hundreds of people are fed each month through the Eureka Food Pantry, housed at Eureka UMC. Children in developing countries have life giving food because of our partnership with Feed My Starving Children. Every two minutes another life is saved in Africa because of your generosity towards Imagine No Malaria.
Your giving makes a difference. And you are not giving to the church...you are giving through the church. Lives are changed by the ministries we provide locally and internationally. That's why Sherri and I also give generously towards the Mission and ministries of Eureka UMC. We know what a difference this church has made in our own lives, the lives of children in Guatemala, and the lives of people we may never meet I invite you to join us in offering a generous 'above and beyond' gift on Easter towards the ongoing, life changing, and life giving ministries happening through Eureka UMC. Together, we can make a huge impact in community and beyond for God's Kingdom and the glory of Jesus Christ!
The sanctuary will be open from 6 am until 3 pm on Friday, March 30th for a self guided "Good Friday" experience.
This unique experience will include several 'rest' stations complete with devotions, a sacred space for reflection, and the
opportunity to remember your baptism and 'dying and being raised with Christ'.
We are adding another worship service on Easter!

*We encourage families that normally attend the 9:45 am service to consider attending the 7:00 am or 8:30 am service on Easter. This will provide additional space for our new families and guests to join us at the 9:45 am service. Also, please consider attending the 7:00 am or 8:30 am service and serving at the 9:45 am service.
*Childcare, ages birth through 2 years old, will be provided during all three worship services on EASTER. Please remember that our normal JAM Children's Ministry will not be meeting this Sunday. All children are encouraged to join their families for the worship services.
Who will you invite to one of our THREE EASTER SERVICES?
8 out of 10 people will say yes if you invite them to an Easter Service!
We will have Easter invite cards available at the Welcome Desk beginning this Sunday.
"MORE" answers the questions: What do you do with envy?
This 3 week series explores the teachings of John Wesley on the topic of finances. He teaches us to save more, earn more, and to give more.

Will you join us in prayer?
One of the most important ways you can support EUMC right now is to circle the work of the Vision Team in prayer. Our first challenge is determining how we will grow spiritual disciples intent on continuing to strengthen their relationship with Christ.
- We desire to honor the past while stepping into the future and not leaving a single soul behind.
- We desire to SEND disciples into the community, not simply collect disciples.
- We are clear on our mission of making disciples for the transformation of the world, but we need God's direction on HOW to do this well.
Haven't you desired the knowledge it takes to be a better disciple? This is what the vision team will be grappling with over the next few months and we're asking you to saturate our work in some intentional corporate prayer.
The purpose of prayer is to get into God's presence so HE can outline His VISION for us. How? By setting aside a few minutes each day for 40 days April 2-May 12. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or 314 749 3874 if you'd like to receive weekly prayer/praise requests re: vision team over the next 40 days.

NEW LIFE GROUP FOR 20S & 30S FORMING NOW!
Stephanie Krechel will be leading a new Life Group for young adults in their 20's and 30's. This group will begin meeting in April; dates and times to be determined after the group is formed. Here's some information about what to expect:
We live in a culture that caters to our choices. We like our options, and we enjoy the opportunity to choose our preferences. Popular psychology and human reasoning tell us to make choices based on what feels good. They encourage us, “just follow your heart.” God has given us a much better guide, however, in His Word. Unlike our fickle and untrustworthy opinions, God’s Word never changes. Its dependability has been proven through the centuries.
In The Choice Is Yours, Terrie Chappell will lead us through twelve choices that can strengthen or weaken our walk with God. Discover these important, daily decisions that will bring joy and purpose to your life!
