PARKING LOT MAINTENANCE - JULY 2-4TH!
Please remember that our entire church facility and all of our parking lots will be closed Monday, July 2nd through Wednesday, July 4th.
The parking lots, along the the church facilities, will reopen on Thursday morning, July 6th at 8:30 am. Thank you for your cooperation!
Also, a big thank you to the several families that provided the $15,000.00 required to complete this much needed (and non budgeted) maintenance!
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you in advance for your flexibility as we seek to improve our facilities next week.
Installation of our newest pastor to our Pastoral Team
is this Sunday, July 1st!
We invite you and your family to join us for either one of our worship services on Sunday, July 1st as we welcome our new Pastor, Suzanne Nicholson to her new appointment at Eureka UMC!
A portion of each worship service will include a "Celebration of Appointment and Installation Service" as we welcome Pastor Suzanne into the life of our church.
It has been six years since we have welcomed a new pastor; come and celebrate with us!
You can read Pastor Tim's Blog here:
Our goal is to reach 200 children with the Good News of Jesus Christ through our Eagle Lake Camp in late July and we are closing in on that goal! We currently have 161 campers registered along with 5 pending registrations! We have 28 campers registered for our Mini Camp!
We want to invite you to do something very simple to help us succeed at meeting and exceeding this goal: visit the Eureka UMC Facebook page and simply 'share; our most recent post about Eagle Lake Camps. It takes only a brief moment to do so and each 'share', on average, will reach 150 families with the wonderful opportunity to enroll their children in this amazing camp! Imagine how many families we can reach if just 100 of our families 'shared' this event. 15,000 families!
Thank you for helping us spread the message about one of our biggest outreaches of the year!
Change. It is inescapable. It has been said that the only constant is change. But what do we do when change leads us to areas that we have never been to? How can we 'go off' the familiar map in our lives into uncharted territory? We will consider these questions as we consider a wonderful teaching from the Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 9:19-23

WOW (WOMEN OF WORSHIP) - ANNUAL BACKPACK DRIVE!
Did you know that children are often anxious, bullied or made fun of when they don’t have a backpack or school supplies? You can help prevent that from happening by participating in the annual backpack drive organized by EUMC WOW (women of worship) to benefit children who utilize the Eureka Food Pantry and children serviced by the St. Louis Crisis Nursery.
GREAT NEWS: backpacks provided! So just fill them up with school supplies!
The “Fill a backpack” school supply drive runs from July 1 – 29.
We will have a box filled with new, empty backpacks in the Commons Area beginning Sunday, July 1. Participants will simply need to grab an empty backpack (or 2), along with a supply lists. Fill the backpack with supplies from the list. Then put the filled backpack into the box at church with the list attached or included inside the backpack. If some of the supplies won’t fit inside the backpack, simply place them in a plastic grocery bag and securely tie the handles of the bag around one of the straps of the backpack. All the backpacks need to be returned Sunday, July 29 and placed in the box or boxes in the Commons Area.
The supply list will be in 2 envelopes attached to the box. 1 envelope will have supply lists for local children who utilize the Eureka Food Pantry and 1 envelope will have supply lists for children supported by the St. Louis Crisis Nursery. It is REALLY important that the list be connected to or inside the backpack so that it gets delivered to the correct child.
Please contact me directly (Karen Hughes at email@example.com) if you want to participate but need a supply list emailed to you --- or if you have questions.
Thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ!!
