“Christ-followers contract malaria, bury children, and battle addictions, and, as a result, face fears. It’s not the absence of storms that sets us apart. It’s whom we discover in the storm: an unstirred Christ.”
― Max LucadoFearless: Imagine Your Life Without Fear

We are grateful to worship and serve such a generous God! His generosity is woven throughout the pages of scripture and in our own lives. We encourage you to be generous towards the work that God has called us to do in the lives of the families in our community.

It is quick and easy to give through our mobile app. You can download the app to your smart phone and set up recurring or even one time financial gifts to ensure that we can continue to provide life changing ministries in our community. Thank you for your faithful generosity!

We are excited to continue to develop our partnership with Eureka Elementary School! We have an amazing opportunity to partner with the school and the students on a deeper level this school year. We will have the opportunity to facilitate and/or lead "Interest Family Groups" once per month during the school year. These Interest Family Groups meet for about 45 minutes each month. There are only two volunteer training dates available next week. Both training times are on Thursday, August 30th. The first training is from 9:15-9:45 am or the second training is from 6:00-6:30 pm at Eureka Elementary School. If you are interested in investing in the lives of these amazing students, please contact the church office at office1@eurekaumc.org no later than 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 29th.

We have identified a family in Eureka that will benefit greatly from some renovations to their home. Their home, although not in the floodplain, was damaged by the intense rain event last year that caused the record flooding. Rain water flooded their home and destroyed the flooring and part of the drywall. Team Rubicon 'gutted' the house in May 2017 and nothing has been done to restore the home. We are in the process of organizing a team in partnership with St. Mark's Lutheran Church to complete this project. Dates are TBD but will likely be in early to mid August. Our volunteer team coordinator for this project is Tom Brozka. If you'd like to be part of the team, whether for a few hours or a few days, please contact Tom at tbroandco@sbcglobal.net .

The scope of this project will include moving large items (the family will be moved out of their home for about a week), demolition work, cleaning, drywall repairs, painting, new flooring, and repairs in the kitchen and bathroom.

American Ninja Warrior is incredibly popular! Many kids (and their parents) love watching these competitors compete on some amazing obstacle courses.

We invite you to bring your children, grandchildren, and their friends to be part of our American Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course for Kids on Saturday, September 15th from 3-5 pm. This amazing, family friendly event will be held on the South parking lot of Eureka UMC!
