Can you believe that it has almost been a year since our HCI consultation weekend? Much has happened and much continues to happen around the recommendations of the consultation team.
Hospitality: Our hospitality team continues to enhance the practice of radical hospitality and our members and guests are noticing the changes. Here is a review from one of our guests over the summer:
"MY HUSBAND AND I TRAVEL SO MUCH, WE TRY AND FIND A CHURCH TO ATTEND WHERE EVER WE GO. THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME ATTENDING A METHODIST CHURCH. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED OUR EXPERIENCE HERE AT EUREKA METHODIST, AS I WALKED THROUGH THE DOORS IT FELT AS IF THE BUILDING REACHED DOWN AND HUGGED ME... THERE WAS SO MUCH LOVE, THE PEOPLE WERE SO VERY NICE AND INVITING I RECOMMEND IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A CHURCH TO ATTEND, EITHER IF YOUR TRAVELING OR LOOKING FOR A CHURCH TO CALL HOME THIS IS IT..... THANK YOU JESUS"
~Tonda Rugge, guest on June 3

Vision Team: The Vision Team began their work in March and have continued meeting each month to discern God's unique vision for EUMC. The team will begin meeting twice monthly in September and October and plan to share this new Vision with the members and friends of EUMC in November.
Leadership Development Team: This team is comprised of members of the Leadership Team and the Nominations and Leadership Development Team. They will begin their work of developing a system of leadership development beginning later this month. This team will share this new system with the members and friends of EUMC in May, 2019
Discipleship Pathway Team: This team has just been named and will begin their work of developing an intentional pathway of discipleship at Eureka UMC later this month. This team will share this new pathway with the members and friends of EUMC in May, 2019 with the full implementation in September 2019.
We are so fortunate to have so many wonderful people on these amazing teams! The work that they are doing now will not only have an impact for advancing God's Kingdom today, but also for generations in the future. Thank you all for your faithful service to ensure that we, Eureka UMC, are faithful to the Mission given to us by Jesus, "to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world."
Who cares? Really, who cares?
Jesus cares. Jesus modeled what it means to love and to care for people. That is something that we value at Eureka UMC. It is because of this value that we have been training and equipping SIX new Congregational Care Ministers (CCM) to care for the members and friends of Eureka UMC. This group of CCM's have been developing a system of Congregational Care since March. We invite you and your family to join us for a very special worship service this Sunday as we anoint and commission this wonderful CCM's into ministry during both worship services.
Pastor Tim will be preaching from 1 John 3:11, 16-18 with a sermon titled "Who Cares?". Pastors Tim and Suzanne along with members from the Leadership Team will then commission the CCM's during a special portion of the worship service.
